The Motion Tracking Experience was developed for the Toyota Gazoo Racing event in 2023. This live interactive installation allowed audience members to engage with a 3D character through a motion capture suite worn by a performer, creating a dynamic and immersive experience. The project used advanced technology to blend real-time motion capture with interactive digital displays.
The objective was to create an engaging and interactive installation that would captivate event attendees. A Rokoko Pro motion capture suit was employed to capture the performer’s movements in real-time. The captured mocap data was applied to a 3D character model, which was displayed on an interactive screen. The performer operated from a booth hidden from the audience to maintain a seamless interaction. The interactive display featured a microphone allowing audience members to ask questions or request specific movements from the character. The application was developed using Unity 3D to ensure smooth and responsive performance.
